Purpose
The Iota Nu Lambda Education Foundation offers scholarships to Black / African American students who plan to attend an accredited four year University/College. Applications are reviewed by the Fraternity’s scholarship committee to recommend scholarship winners for the upcoming academic year.
Criteria
Eligible applicant(s) will be a high school senior of African American descent planning to attend an accredited University/College for the 2025 – 2026 Academic Year. Eligibility also requires a minimal grade point average of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale, residence in the Central Valley area, and completion of the required essay. Late and/or incomplete application packets will not be considered.
Applicant Checklist
- Student will graduate from High School May or June 2025
- Student read and reviewed the AΦA INLEF 2025 Scholarship Requirements document
- Answer the following questions (copy & paste into a word document) which are used to get to know your personality, background, interests, and achievements in your own unique voice. Each response should be a minimum of 300 words.
- Why would you like to attend college? Talk about your personal and professional goals. Did any specific events, educational experiences, or individuals impact the desire or drive to pursue a college education, such as your family, teachers, previous schools you attended, or your cultural or financial background? Please give an explanation.
- Consider a subject in academia that you find inspiring. Explain the ways in which you have pursued this interest both within and outside of the classroom.
- What, in addition to the information provided in your application, do you think distinguishes you as an exceptional candidate for Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated Go-To-High School, Go-To-College Scholarship via The Iota Nu Lambda Educational Foundation?
- Student completed The Fresno Alphas – INL Education Foundation 2025 Scholarship Google form
- Upload your completed application and all documents
- Student sent and confirmed Counselor or Advisor completed The Counselor or Academic Advisor Google form

- Submit the AΦA Fraternity, Inc. – Iota Nu Lambda Education Foundation – 2025 Scholarship Google Form by Sunday, April 1, 2025
